The Story:

Georgia invited Dad to go on his FIRST cruise aboard the MS Celebration.  What Dad didn't know was that Steve & Della would be joining them as a surprise.  This surprise was kept a secret for over FIVE MONTHS.  The plan was to meet in Houston, at the Hilton, the day before the ship was to sail where the "surprise" would take place.

About six weeks prior to the sailing date, Georgia was informed the date was changed to a week earlier.  Steve & Della had to change their tickets (to the tune of an additional $400/per), and hotel reservations had to be changed and added to, since a Saturday stay was required for better air rates.  (Thank God airfare wasn't arranged yet or the surprise would have been on all of us!)

The surprise was more of a shock as Dad (as instructed) crossed the lobby to view the fish aquarium and heard "HEY SOOT" from his son-in-law.  Once we thought the surprise was over, Georgia said something that Dad looked puzzled at, and Georgia said, "You DO know they are going on the cruise too, right?"  Another look of shock crossed Dad's face -- he thought we flew all the way to Houston to wish him a bon voyage!  Below are photos taken that day, including the SURPRISE photo.
